From Stock to Statement: Building a One-of-One 2025 Performance Bagger for Sturgis 2025

What’s up everybody—this is Colton from Woodlawn Baggers Performance Division, and this is the story behind one of the most meaningful builds we’ve ever taken on.

For Sturgis 2025, we partnered with our close friends at Customs Kicking Cancer (CKC) to transform a stock 2025 Harley-Davidson Road Glide into a one-of-one, frame-off performance bagger—built not just to turn heads, but to put prostate cancer awareness front and center at the world’s biggest motorcycle rally.

This wasn’t just another build. This one had a mission.

The Mission Behind the Metal

Customs Kicking Cancer was founded by Dan and Katie Lucas, friends and clients of Woodlawn. What started as a personal mission—Dan’s father has been battling prostate cancer for over 15 years—has grown into a nationwide movement.

CKC travels to major motorcycle rallies across the country, offering:

  • Free at-home PSA test kits

  • Education and awareness for men who may not have insurance

  • A safe way to address a topic many men avoid

The motorcycle community is the perfect place for that conversation—and Sturgis is the biggest stage there is.

The 130-Day Transformation Begins

We rolled in a bone-stock 2025 Road Glide with just a few miles on the odometer and gave ourselves roughly 130 days to turn it into something that would represent:

  • Woodlawn’s highest level of craftsmanship

  • The performance side of bagger culture

  • A charity that deserved center stage

The teardown started immediately. No shortcuts. No half measures. Full frame-off. Every part mattered.

As Colton put it:

“The goal was simple—build the baddest performance bagger we possibly could, so the charity would be impossible to ignore.”

Built the Woodlawn Way: Performance Meets Art

This build checked every box—and then some:

  • Big motor, big power

  • Turbocharged performance setup

  • Carbon fiber components front to back

  • Hand-built swingarm and subframe

  • Fully polished motor and components

  • High-end suspension tuned for performance

  • Custom paint featuring blue, gold leaf, and silver leaf accents

The paint alone involved dozens of hours of detail work. Subtle at first glance. Unreal up close. Hidden details. Purposeful choices. Nothing gaudy—everything intentional.

One of the standout touches? A discreet mustache detail worked into the design—a nod to men’s health and prostate cancer awareness that fit the bike without overpowering it.

Industry-Leading Partners Step Up

This build wouldn’t exist without the industry showing up for the mission.

  • Custom painters and designers delivering museum-level finish

  • Performance fabrication partners creating one-off components

  • Fox Suspension supplying adjustable performance shocks

  • Builders, polishers, and fabricators all aligning behind the cause

As Dan Lucas said during the unveiling:

“Some of the best builders and people in the industry got behind the mission—and they crushed it.”

The Sturgis Reveal: A Moment That Hit Different

We held the bike back until Friday, opening day of the 85th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Dan and Katie had seen very little leading up to the reveal. When the covers came off, the reaction said everything:

Speechless. Emotional. Overwhelmed.

This wasn’t just a motorcycle. It was a symbol of what happens when:

  • Builders care about more than trophies

  • Brands put purpose over ego

  • The motorcycle community rallies behind something bigger

More Than a Bike

At the end of the day, this build did exactly what it was meant to do:

  • Put Customs Kicking Cancer in front of thousands of riders

  • Spark conversations that save lives

  • Prove performance baggers can carry a message

For Woodlawn Performance Division, this stands as one of our proudest moments—not because of horsepower or paint, but because of impact.

And this is just the beginning.

Stay tuned as we continue pushing the limits of what a performance bagger can be—and what this community can do when it rides together with purpose.
